Anita Li

I am a Ph.D. candidate in Sociology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an affiliate of the Center for Demography and Ecology and the Institute for Research on Poverty. I use quantitative and demographic methods to study trends of family demography and gender inequality in the U.S.

My current research examines the changing relationship between parenthood and work, the rise of female-breadwinner households, and patterns in union formation and dissolution.

My work has been published in Socius, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, and Social Forces
